FAQ

Questions parents often ask.

LitXL is a managed tutoring service. Families submit a request, the service reviews tutor fit, and tutors run live sessions with structured lesson support.

How does LitXL match students with tutors?

Parents submit a tutoring request with subject, year level, learning needs, and availability. The LitXL service team reviews the request and sends it to a suitable tutor rather than asking families to choose tutors themselves.

Is AI replacing tutors?

No. Live human tutoring is the core service. AI-supported preparation helps students warm up and gives tutors extra context about where the student may need support.

What does lesson prep do?

Students can complete short guided questions before or around a session. Tutors can review the work, help requests, and progress so live tutoring time is more focused.

How do live sessions work?

Tutors schedule online sessions for connected students. If a meeting link has been added, students can join from their dashboard, calendar, upcoming sessions, or lesson player.

What do parents receive after lessons?

Tutors can prepare parent-friendly reports covering what was done, progress and improvements, and what comes next.

Can tutors support different year levels?

Lesson templates are organised by year level, subject, and topic. Submit a request and LitXL will review whether suitable support is available for your child.

How are payments handled?

Payment arrangements depend on the tutoring setup and are handled through LitXL. Submit a request and the team can discuss the best option.
